Chicago has the America's No.1 downtown population increase in the previous decade, of which West Loop is the last missing piece of puzzle. As it is approved to be the first real "innovation district" for Chicago with Google, Tesla, etc. moving in, will the West Loop's industrial and food processing history remain as its core feature, or simply get desaturated and forgone?
