Rogue VHS x Waveshaper - Desolation

Two of my favorite electronic music artists were launching a song together and I got the honor to do the cover art. Here is the illustration I came up with based on the avatars of Rogue VHS and Waveshaper:
Here is a bit of exploration on the original rough sketch. The client ended up picking the second version which I later developed as a finished ink drawing (right) before adding the colors. The main influence was of course Akira.

This is the final cover featured on Spotify! The lettering was done by Trent Walton aka Echo Wolf Music and it looks splendid!
