adidas unveils AM4LA, SPEEDFACTORY’s first high performance running shoe made with Parley Ocean Plastic®, end of May 2018. 
 
AM4LA is a result of a design challenge to create a more ecologically-conscious, high-performance footwear at SPEEDFACTORY. It’s a marriage of creativity, data-driven design, and material innovation. AM4LA features a 100% recycled upper, including yarns made from plastic collected from coastal areas. Each pair of AM4LA shoes prevents an equivalent of 11 plastic bottles from entering the oceans. 
 
 
The AM4LA sneaker has been co-created with Los Angeles City runners. Its design is powered by athlete data to create the most precise performance footwear offering the perfect fit, movement, and comfort. 
 
To celebrate the launch, adidas opens up a AM4LA SPEEDFACTORY Lab Experience in Santa Monica, California for the public to get a glimpse of the future of creation with the brand and find out more about SPEEDFACTORY. Guests can receive a private footscan and personalised shareable content, and test run through various interactive experiences. Furthermore the campaign consists of social, PR, the dotcom and select retail.
