THE BRIEF
SBS News was launching new bulletin segments specifically for Arabic and Mandarin speaking audiences. They wanted to organise a series of activations around Melbourne and Sydney in suburbs that contained the largest collection of these communities.
THE IDEA
The idea was to re-create the SBS News desk and backdrop and give passerbys the opportunity to step into the shoes of a broadcast presenter. We had brand ambassadors and a photobooth on site for UGC opportunities.
THE EXECUTION
Activating at 5 locations across 9 days, we had the SBS News presenters themselves come down for photo opportunities with fans. Passerbys were encouraged to share their photos on social with a branded hashtag to receive some free SBS-branded merch.
I was responsible for building out the activation concept and working with our suppliers to execute.
