Taking inspiration from the movie, ‘#Mean Girls’, I wanted to come up with a ‘popular bully’ archetype character with the mainstream Japanese high school girl aesthetic for the clothing.

 

In my opinion, the colour scheme and design completely contrasts the initial concept I had in mind. The pink mellows down the kind of bold and intimidating feel I wanted the character to portray. 

 

Along with the different hairstyles, since I wanted her to be more of a ‘mean girl’, I envisioned a character that’s more feminine looking; towards the stereotypical ideal portrayal of ‘most attractive’ girl.

 

So to make her stand out, I tried elongating her hair and adding curls to soften her overall appearance. Also, having in mind high royalty status to allow the character stand out.
