Understanding the math behind form and beauty. Equations describe our reality. I found value in adopting this objective lens. I was able to find mathematical ratios, patterns, and systems that lent themselves to beautiful space and form. I was able to incorporate this perspective into my figure drawing practice as well. I was especially interested in how the correct fundamental rules of a given system can give way to visual interest, similar to cellular automata.
