The Project:
The Arlene and Arthur S. Holden Jr. Butterfly Garden is a beautiful and informative addition to the Holden Arboretum. It is often used as a wedding/event venue. This park has a lack of identification signage or informational signage regarding the butterflies.
The Goal:
To signage that is informative, but still encapsulates the beauty and natural aesthetic of the garden. One of the important factors I considered while creating these signs was materials used. I had the idea of incorporating stain glass and black metal with embossed writing. The wings on each sign are constructed with see through stain glass to reflect natural light in a beautiful immersive way.
