NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti 3D Model
This is a 3D model of an NVIDIA RTX 3060 Ti, modelled in Autodesk Fusion 360. I made this model using an actual graphics card and measuring different dimensions.
Apart from a few cosmetic changes, I tried to keep it as close to the original as possible.
One change I made was to the stripes on the bottom of the card. Instead of a muted, grey colour, I opted for white. This contrasted well with the black fins visible in the cut-out.
Additionally, the fan blades were made to be less aggressive.
The model itself is split up into various components. The fans are the only part of the model that spin around; the rest is static.
Design Process
I first began by creating the black base on the bottom, and then the silver housing. Next was to model the fins, and for this I used the rectangular pattern tool.
After the fins were complete, the next step was to model the fans and create a joint for them.
Other details such as the PCB, mounting bracket, and power slot were modelled last.
I chose to model something that I used all the time. This ended up being something in my computer, and it was a beautifully designed work of art on top of it.
Creating the model for the 3060 Ti was a fun experience, and a great way to practice 3D modelling.
