Rebranding | Roots4Mission

Brand Story

Roots4Mission aims to mobilize the church and equip the youth as ambassadors for Christ to have an impact on their community, environment, schools, friends, and peers. Our heart is to impact the youth with the Gospel in such a way that they will become effective in their own environment and pass on the fire to reach their nation and generation.

The Goal

In order to better appeal to the client's target demographic—the younger generation—the logo had to be changed. They wanted a modern and eye-catching logo that features the cross in the middle and a clear image of a tree with roots.

Unfortunately, the client decided to stop the redesign project and just use the current logo. The project itself is something I personally enjoy, so I still chose to move forward with the brand identity for this presentation.

Logo Design

We chose to continue with the emblem concept. With a clean and modern style, we were able to incorporate the tree, its roots, and a cross into a circle mark.

Color and Typography

Warm and versatile, the color gold can be joyful and uplifting or serious and formal. In addition to being related to the colors yellow and brown, it is also associated with wisdom, love, compassion, and courage.

Givonic is a new geometric sans serif and clean variable font. The typeface is versatile to blend with 6 weights ranging from thin, light, regular, semibold, bold, and black.
