This project is the first of a upcoming series of paintings depicting personifications of the universe. This one is meant to represent the loneliness in the vast emptiness of space. The top of the composition is structured as opposed to the gradual drip of the crown. This is reflective of the saying "blood, sweat, and tears"; it's what it takes to keep the crown from slipping. The universe's chin-held-high attitude gives a glimpse as to the headstrong demeanor necessary to keep moving forward.
