Saturated CMYK print on primed Lokta paper.

In order to overcome the warping issues I was having with previous prints done on Lokta, I treated this particular sheet with a layer of clear acrylic primer in order to seal any pores and lock the fibres in place. Otherwise the colour is the same as the originals, with the Magenta layer going down first.
While this succeeded in preventing warping, giving a perfect registrations, it created two new unexpected results:
1 - the colours were much more saturated on the paper since it was not able to absorb the inks fully. This also made drying between layers take much longer.
2 - the surface fibres clumped together as the primer dried, creating a much more potent grain pattern than on any other poster.

This is my favourite piece by far due to the unexpected natural effects provided by the paper and the deep, saturated colours.
