Music is everywhere. So why not take the time on the restroom to make some music? That was the idea behind the project proposed by Almap/BBDO to Billboard Magazine, and developed at Cricket Brasil.

We built a custom urinal, which had buttons that got pressed by the visitor urine and triggered guitar solo samples. When the urinal was flushed, the visitor's song was uploaded and could be heard in the project's mobile website.

I was responsible for developing the application that received the buttons' state from the Arduino to generate the audio, as well as encoding and uploading. The application was built in AS3/Air, with custom Pixel Bender shader to handle the audio mixing.
