PERSONAL PHOTOGRAPHY: YORKSHIRE SUNRISE
I enjoy looking at the unique and beautiful selection of colours and cloud patterns in the sky both in the morning and the evening as there is something surreal and satisfying about it. I took some photos of the sunrise over the Yorkshire Coast, near Flamborough Head in the early hours of the morning while I was on holiday there.
This photograph shows how the sun's glow illuminates the normally grey clouds and creates a feeling of mystery. What I love about this photo is the fact that no effects or tools were applied to the photo to change the hue or saturation of the sky.
Out of the 3 final photos that I decided to include, this one is my favourite. I am very happy with the silhouette effect through the sun shining down on the field crops. It allows every detail within the plants to be seen clearly and evokes a feeling of peace.
This photo focuses more on the landscape and area that the sun is rising over, exemplified through the lighthouse on the right side of the photograph. I feel that the light smudges captured in the image work really well and add to the serenity of the morning.
All photos were taken on a Canon PowerShot SX420 IS that measures 5152 x 3864 px.
