Tenaris’ second mobile app, Application Guide, was presented at the OTC 2012 conference in Houston, the world’s foremost event for the offshore exploration industry.
Tenaris Application Guide features the Premium Connections manufactured by Tenaris Hydril, organizing them by functional and operational application.
Giro54 designed a navigation system that enables easy access between connections used for the same application, in a way that users can compare their technical characteristics quickly. Each connection offers a high-resolution 3D render and detailed images of the profiles that can be experienced in full screen mode.
The application was designed to work on multiple devices: iPad, iPhone, Android and Blackberry smartphones, so the user interface was adapted to match the size and functionality of each.
In preparation for launch, Giro54 developed a Visual System for app icons, standardizing the design elements that will represent the company in the mobile space. The specifications were compiled in a visual style guide to be distributed among global communication teams.
