Born in 2002 in Moscow into a family of artists.

My father, Alexander Ionov is an artist, poet and musician and

my mother Maria Venislavskaia-Gribina is a photographer and artist. My grandparents on both sides are artists as well.

In 2014, I was admitted to the Moscow Central School of Arts (МЦХШ) where I was a student between the ages of twelve to eighteen.

After graduating from this school in June of 2021, I relocated to Poland due to the fact that I have Polish roots on my mother’s side.  Now I have the good fortune to live and continue my education in Poland. Since September 2021 I live in Krakow and attend a one-year Polish course at the Polish language school “Together”. Now i'm on B1.

In this portfolio I am presenting my recent work with masks, photography, paintings, drawings and linocuts. Some of my works from the last years in the art school are also included.

I have been working with masks since 2018, using different materials such as papier mashe’, bones, rugs, feathers, really anything that gives me freedom to express myself.

As for photography I have been mainly focusing to work with non-digital film and camera.

Lately I am experimenting working with linography.

For me it is fascinating to express myself through different media as I try to open new ways of discovery.

It is my hope and intention to continue my education

in The Art Academy Jana Matejko in the faculty of Graphic Arts.
