HEACHACHE HURTS

About 64 per cent of the 2,8 million students on german university suffer from headaches. To make a change ZIES (germ. abbr. „Research and Diagnostics Centre for Implants, Inflammation and Pain)  initiated a project funded by the BARMER (German health insurance company) to change this situation through running a campaign informing students about the different types of headache, what provokes them and how to prevent them.
In close cooperation with Karin Frisch and her ZIES-Team we developed a campaign-concept (naming, tonality, information-architecture reflected by a headline-series), a contemporary typographic-focused aesthetic to reach the young audience and applied it on a responsive website (subtly enriched with animations), a brochure (printed with only one color on creme-colored paper, which determined the color concept of the campaign), an animated movie (6 minutes to provide educational entertainment) and a mobile app (free download for iOs and Android) to help identify and handle the typical trigger-factors responsible for migraine, tension headache and headaches caused by the intensive consumption of pain-killers.
