Personal project.
After my last automotive project (Lamborghini Miura), I wanted to realize an advertising illustration that would look realistic, something that would express my appreciation towards a product that I like.
I'm a huge Sony fan, I've got a Sony phone and a Sony tablet, so the first product that I came up with was the last smartphone produced by Sony. Its main feature is being waterproof.
It's been a really big challenge for me, I had never used Realflow before, but after a couple of days of studying the software. I learned all I needed to create a decent looking simulation of a paint splash.
I've spent much time researching references and I realised some sketches of what I wanted it to look like.
Due to hardware limitations, I've decided to stop tweaking the liquid simulation in realflow and completed the work in Zbrush, where I had the possibility of rebuild the mesh and improving the global look of the splash.
Choosing the color was quite a difficult challenge. At the end, I found out the blue to have a better dynamism in the final composition.
The model is complete in all its details, I've added some closeup that show some more actual modelling work.
Thanks for watching.
