Illustrations | Fantasy/Drama Still Movie
Some of the illustrations I did for a still movie for an academic project within Audiovisual Production.
This illustration are the final production of a two weeks work.
Scene 1
2018 years ago humanity witnessed the beginning of its eventual extinction when God, a dwarf planet, crashed through planet Earth from start to finish. What crossed the Earth was not a simple planet, but a giant mass overloaded with energy that was never seen before, this mass brought the destruction of the planet but also its salvation.
Scene 2
The energy was so powerful that its crater merged with the planet's biosphere, creating its own ecosystem formed by millions of ecosystems. However the consequences do not stop there, in addition to the crash having decimated everything in its path, the energy spread around the globe, bringing genetic mutations and metaphysical abilities to the inhabitants of Earth. Humanity had no option but to live with the rapid changes demanded by God, the past was immediately abandoned. Humanity admitted extinction and was reborn as "Elfity", the planet was reshaped and given a new name "Utopia".
Scene 3
City of Coimbra, in December 2018, the exam period has began. This time is desired by all dreamers who want to prove their worth in the most diverse arts of magic, all this to be recognized as true Mages. However, it isn't for the recognition as Mages that students resort to during exams, it's for the freedom that the title offers. The ones recognized as Mages earns the right to explore God's crater, the mysterious adventures hidden in the crater's ecosystems are the literal synonym of freedom, however, freedom comes with dangers. With millions of new ecosystems come millions of completely unknown creatures, hence the title of mage being necessary.
