Iconic New Zealand wines
The koru (Māori for ‘loop or coil’) is a spiral shape based on the appearance
of a new unfurling silver fern frond. It is an integral symbol in Māori art
where it symbolises new life, growth, strength and peace. Its shape conveys the idea of
perpetual movement, while the inner coil suggests returning to the point of origin.
Besides the koru, this magical spiral shape repeats across nature as seen in
the Nautilus shell or the curl of a gecko lizard's tail.
We have presented these natural icons across this range of flagship New Zealand
varietal wines - with high level embossing on cotton stock.
