Italian director Luca Guadagnino is a huge inspiration for me visually when I am creating film and moving image. Lots of the shots within his film work are composed like portraits, and even shots that aren't of people are shot very photographically. Below are some stills from 2 of his works "Call Me By Your Name" and "We Are Who We Are" as well as a scene which illustrate what I mean by being shot photographically.
I love the way Guadagnino composes his shots, many of his shots of people are incredibly intimate without having to be extreme closeups. And his wide landscape shots he just lets the action play out in-front of the lens.

The idea behind this video The Guardian posted is a good loose source of inspiration for what I plan to do. The shots of various things like the high street and foodbank with the voice over continuing over it is the kind of thing I want to do with the audio from the people I talk to over zoom, cutting back to the conversation every now and then. Where possible I want to get footage in camera of the people I talk to, I understand that this won't be possible for everyone so I will shoot footage of the kinds of thing that person is talking about to have as B-roll while they talk.
Although not directly related to the kind of film I plan to produce Host is a great example of using Zoom footage in film.
