The Witches' Saloon is an ongoing comic project run by Gabriel Dalposso and Heloísa Bagatini, writer and artist, respectively.

Inspired by the old aesthetics, history and previous artistic creations about the Far West and Pagan Witchcraft, Gabriel Dalposso reached out to me in 2020 during the pandemic's peak and gave me the opportunity to start creating and illustrating a new web comic series called The Witches' Saloon, which follows the adventure of a gunslinger named Walter, who's trying to achieve his goals while living in a fantasy world full of sand landscapes and witches!
The association between Gabriel Dalposso and I turned into an official communication vehicle, designated to represent our management as one, as the single Quill Manufactory.
The initial sketches - trying to find the accurate art style.
We went for a heavy, all-black, two-dimmensional shadow and undetailed line work.
The colors are also very 2D shaped, with little to no smoothening effect. At this stage, we tried to translate Dalposso's story and aesthetic through experimentation, trial and error, until findind the perfect trace, anatomy and sharpness to our art.

The first two are different versions of the same comic logo. The third image is our thumbnail, a small art used to illustrate our comic account on WebToon (which is not available at the moment).
