WHO Warns, No Herd Immunity From Covid-19 In 2021

On Sunday, the first case of the latest UK Coronavirus strain was confirmed in Russia and scientists fear that this is going to be more contagious.
The United States has been hit badly with this disease and the new virus has spread like anything in the country. The former President Joe Biden is receiving his second dose of the vaccine publicly.
The German Company BioNTech has said that they have the ability to boost the production of millions of more doses which is being expected from them. They said that they have the capability to boost the production forecast from 1.3 million to 2 billion.
On Monday, the scientists at the World Health Organization stated that even if the vaccinations for COVID-19 are available for masses, achieving herd immunity to the virus in this present year is not possible. Though one of the leading producers has boosted the production still the whole situation doesn’t seem very promising.
Meanwhile, England has launched its first mass-inoculation sites in the major cities so they can beat the rapid spread of the coronavirus disease.
Britain is the first country that has approved the BioNTech/ Pfizer jab and on Monday, across England opened 7 mass vaccination sites.
Chris Whitty, the Chief Medical officer told BBC Television that the next few weeks are going to be worse when it comes to the numbers in the National Health Service. He added that the lockdown guidelines that have been laid need to be adhered to strictly and it should be observed properly so the vaccines can do their work precisely.
A team of ten scientists has also been preparing to visit China on Thursday and find out the origin of the disease.
They will work with the Chinese Scientists to execute the joint research cooperation on COVID-19 origin. No more details are disclosed.

It has been a year since the first reported death in Wuhan and it was noticed that commuters were walking to work freely and there was a crowd buzzing in the riverside and parks.
