(Este projeto foi feito inicialmente como uma instalação artística que esteve em exposição na Universidade Católica do Porto em Setembro de 2020)

Indefinição é um projeto que se foca no tema da Saúde Mental, no qual o nosso objetivo foi construir um espaço onde as pessoas pudessem relaxar por 5 minutos, onde os problemas não nos conseguem alcançar.

Juntamente com a melodia e o ambiente sonoro, é reproduzida também a narração de um poema alusivo à saúde mental, de nome "I measure every Grief I
meet” de Emily Dickinson.

A parte de vídeo foi do encargo da minha colega Matilde Alexandre, que se focou em imagens de natureza, tanto estáticas como móveis, de forma a criar uma sensação de serenidade.

O Design Sonoro foi feito por mim, sendo o foco principal foi manter a "simplicidade" dos elementos sonoros. Com isto quero dizer que apesar de existirem várias fontes sonoras tentei que não houvessem distrações fortes para o ouvinte, com o objetivo de ser uma experiência relaxante.

Escolhi o ambiente florestal visto que existe uma associação entre a natureza com o "desligar" do mundo, o que era exatamente o que eu estava a procura no desenvolvimento do projeto.

O setup técnico da instalação consistia em 4 colunas, uma em cada canto da área da instalação, e 3 projetores de vídeos a reproduzir em zonas diferentes da área da instalação.

Disponibilizo aqui o vídeo da instalação, convertido para Stereo (Recomendo utilização de Headphones) seguido de algumas imagens da instalação durante a sua realização em Setembro de 2020.

(This project was initially done as an artistic installation that was on display at the Catholic University of Porto in September 2020)

Indefinition is a project that focuses on the theme of Mental Health, in which our goal was to build a space where people could go and relax for 5 minutes, a space where problems cannot reach us.

Along with the melody and the sound environment, the narration of a poem alluding to mental health is also reproduced, the poem being "I measure every Grief I
meet” by Emily Dickinson.

The video part was the responsibility of my colleague Matilde Alexandre, who focused on images of nature, both static and mobile, in order to create a sense of serenity.

Sound Design was made by me, and my main focus was to maintain the "simplicity" of the sound elements, by this I mean that although there are several sound sources I tried to make sure there were no strong distractions for the listener in order to be a relaxing experienceg.

I chose the forest environment since many of people associate nature with "turning off" from the world, which was exactly what I was looking for in the development of the project.

The technical setup of the installation consisted of 4 columns, one in each corner of the installation area, and 3 video projectors to be played in different areas of the installation area.
