Senior year @ CCS -
Project Brief: After choosing from Toyota, Scion or Lexus, design a car for that brand that serves a specific and unique purpose in the year 2030.
I chose Scion because of the deeply rooted, cult-like sub-culture it generated over the years.  The brand represented the funky, wild sild of Toyota with vehicles priced for young students.
My vehicle is an abstract take on the popular Scion xB.  Many hoped the xB would evolve into or at least offer something more utilitarian and functional for small businesses, but that never happened.  I wanted to change that and develop a vehicle concept that not only looked sporty, youthful and fun, but also packed tons of functionality and utility for people in the urban sprawl.  Due to climate change, there is a global effort to eliminate ICE powered vehicles, specifically in major cities where congestion has taken a toll on air quality.  My xB of the future was designed with artists in mind.  The vehicle would offer millennials and Gen-Z kids youth a vehicle that was not only functional and packed with tech, but also was fully electric and a mobile office for their creativity to flourish.

Junior Year Clay Model - Subaru
Project Brief: Pick a Subaru vehicle and redesign it for the year 2025
Vehicle chosen: Subaru Crosstrek

Ive always loved Subaru's compact cars and I admire the following their Crosstrek and Impreza/WRX/STI models have built over the years.  While the WRX/STI models scream (high) performance, the Crosstrek has been more subdued but is able to hold its on offroad.  I wanted to blend the two concepts into one vehicle and then add a bit of personalization utilizing the latest in 3D printing technology.
My 20205 Crosstrek: iDesign focuses on 3 key ideas - Technology; Performance and Personalization.
Everything from the fender-flare extensions to the brightly colored roof rails, decals/graphics and wheel designs are customizable
