Yesterday, Tuesday (27 08 2013) i gave myself an assignment ::
To photograph people on the streets.
Tourists? Locals? I really didn't care who, what, or where the subjects were from.
The best models are found on the streets!
So i biked through the Jordaan Area and i went up onto a steep bridge and thought... STOOOOP!
I parked my bike, sat next to it on the bridge and photographed people who rode their bikes up onto it :)
After a while the sun was gone because of the canalhouses which blocked it, so i went to the prinsengracht to find a bridge near the Runstraat and i sat down yet again.
Ofcourse i also photographed pedestrians.
How would they respond? upset? happy? ANGRY?
Most people thought they were in my way and apologized for walking in my view, which opened conversations with people who would otherwise just walk on by - others didn't notice, some asked if i was a photographer. I am, so i handed them my business card :)
(you never know who you might meet, on the street)
I had a blast, i could observe and study body language and movements and a lot of expressions!
