This assignment taught me about the effectiveness of using different brush tips, using layer masks and how to appropriately use textures. I learned that by using the different brush tips and settings, I could create a variety of effects and be random enough to still look real. I also learned how, when combined with the different brush tips, layer masks can make a piece more realistic and generally more pleasing to look at by adding more dimensions. I also learned how to add textures to a piece non-destructively by using a clipping mask.
