This illustration series explores the theme “Enjoyment” and it was developed for Freshii Neighbourhood Mart, a new supermarket in Gamuda Gardens 20km from the Kuala Lumpur city centre.

The concept of Freshii is the same as with other supermarkets around Malaysia, where fresh groceries and home essentials are available every day. But unlike others, the Freshii brand wishes to make grocery shopping a lot more enjoyable and personal through art and design.

Every piece from the illustration series looks at “Enjoyment” differently; it shows people and their simple joys in life. For instance, one may find joy in a cup of coffee while to another person baking is bliss.

Generally, there are people who find grocery shopping to be a source of great enjoyment while some perceive shopping as some kind of retail therapy to make one’s self happier. Needless to say, enjoyment of a shopping trip is about having a good “me” time.

Freshii’s corporate colour is green, which is a symbol of growth and freshness but it also means balance (hence the words forming circles to further illustrate this point). Like the colour, Freshii as a supermarket is bold with their choices and the items they decide to put up in their store.

An enjoyment itself to the people that build this supermarket, Freshii is proud to bring a variety of organic groceries, locally-grown foods, and local and imported foods to this new neighbourhood.
