Cinemagraph

For my Cinemagraph's I tried loosely connect the theme for it to the theme of my folio which is about isolation, my series features many objects and places that are in close proximity to me as I cannot go beyond that unless it is essential and for my series I utilise my home and the things in it to express the feeling of isolation, so for this set of 3 cinemagraph's I utilised my collection of bobble heads of fictional characters placed in mundane household settings in this case by backyard, living room and bedroom window as a way to express how I am trying to find little joys and find some fun in these difficult times. The set up process was straight forward and easy as it is a simple process of putting the figure in a space that does not really suit it's aesthetic especially when you are doing it around a suburban house, the filming of the cinemagraph's was also very simple as it only consisted of knocking the head of the figure and record it wiggling for about 10 seconds max and making it in photoshop is fairly straightforward as well as the tutorial video provided was made very easy to follow and understand, the only real issue that I had was getting the bobble of the head to loop nicely and it took a bit of playing around with it for the loop to look better and in the end I think they all turned out quite well and the loops to me seem very seamless. I enjoyed making the cinemagraph's and would be interested in exploring them more and how I could use it as a technique for other projects.
